Tyson Fury: ‘Wladimir Klitschko has a chin like a piece of glass’

ICKETS for the huge world heavyweight title bout between Wladimir Klitschkoand mandatory challenger Tyson Fury went on sale today as the fighters came face-to-face for the first time at the opening press conference in Germany.
With the 39-year-old Ukrainian’s belts on the line, and the outspoken Fury in the opposing corner, fight fans will be eagerly anticipating the build-up to the fight almost as much as the opening bell inside the ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany on October 24.
Fury started the conference in a calm manner: “I am a unique fighter, a one of a kind fighter like me only comes round once in a thousand years. I give credit to the older champion for taking on a challenge like myself.”
The battle hardened Klitschko has an impressive record of 64 wins (53 by stoppage) and hasn’t tasted defeat for over 11 years, but the bullish Fury is confident he can end Dr Steelhammer’s winning run, and is predicting it will be by knockout.
After being asked by Kiltschko how it felt to be fighting for the championship, the Tyson Fury we know from previous pressers arrived: “It’s a world title fight, it’s personal for me to rid boxing of a boring person like you. You ain’t messing with a small guy, you have a chin like a piece of glass. You are nothing, you’re getting knocked out.”
26-year-old Fury, ranked at number 1 by the WBA and boasting an unblemished 24-0 record (18 KOs), will have height, reach and probably weight on his side when the two meet and is expected to need to all those advantages to come home from Germany with the belts.
A full undercard is expected to be announced soon for what is expected to be a 55,000 sell out at the home of Fortuna Dusseldorf FC.
