WELTERWEIGHT world champion boxer, Kell Brook, confirmed his desire to take on Amir Khan during an exclusive Q&A chat with fans at the Shooters Bar within the Bierkeller Entertainment Complex, Manchester.
The venue was packed out on Saturday afternoon as Kell took to the stage to answer fans questions, many of whom wanted to know what the latest was with the highly anticipated Brook v Khan fight.
The room erupted as Kell sent a clear message to Amir, “We need that kid from Bolton to grow a pair of balls, he’s delicate around those whiskers.” He also confirmed he’d be keen to take on the rumble that everyone is hoping for, although he doesn’t think it’d go the distance, “I’d take him out by the sixth round”.
Fans cheered as Kell continued his tirade on Amir. “I’ve heard he’s watching the fight at the arena tonight”, and as Kell headed off to sit ringside, he insisted that if he bumped into Amir “things could get tasty!”
The mystery surrounding Kell’s next fight continues, although one thing’s for sure, fans in the Shooters Bar are adamant that Brook versus Khan should be the next sellout fight. Kell said, “I want a big fight.”
The Shooters Bar hosted the exclusive event and provided fans with a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and greet their boxing idol. Queues spiralled around the bar as guests waited to shake Kell’s hand and steal a quick photo with him. There was also a massive £575 raised in a signed boxing merchandise auction and 1 lucky lady won 2 tickets for the Anthony Crolla and Scott Quigg fights at the Manchester Arena.
