When you doubt your power, you give power to your doubt.” ~Honore de Balzac
You hear that voice in your head. ‘You’re not capable enough. You can never stand up to the expectations. You’re a failure. You’re worthless.’
This running commentary forces you back, criticizes you and haunts you in the times when probably the time is not just right, when the air is not moving in your direction and when things are not the best for you. Low self-esteem and high self-doubts are the fruits of this tree. But watch out! You don’t have to pick them.
Low self-esteem and self-doubt eat away logic, steal positivity and take away happiness. Grief storms scatter optimism like hay straws, but the ray of hope recollects them and gives an opportunity to make a new life. When everyone turns away and you find yourself in the muck of insecurity only hope comes to your rescue. If you have hope you have unlimited possibilities.
Hope’s Source
Now where does this hope come from? It comes from within. Hope rests inside you! When you start the day you have nothing but new hopes and new expectations. Hope is apparently mere imagination, but it gives results when the imaginations are acted upon with determination.
As humans we’re like the glass. Optimists see that the glass is half full while pessimists see that the glass is half empty. Hope works when we direct ourselves to the half filled part of the glass, collect motivation and encouragement from it and strive to fill the other half of the glass.
Believe In Yourself
Believe in yourself. Trust and love yourself. Stop being your own enemy and stop sending negative messages down to your heart. Give credit to yourself and count your successes. It boosts the energy inside you and refreshes you so that you can start all over again.
Accepting your lows is also a way of believing in yourself. Whenever you find yourself in your darkest hour, where you feel torn or lost, sit back, take a deep breath and comprehend that being torn and lost could be a turning point of discovering who you actually are and what you truly aspire to be. It’s important to understand yourself – who you are and what you really want? Set rational and achievable objectives for yourself.
Don’t forget that you can do miracles by stepping out with high hopes and a firm belief in yourself.
