Tyson Fury came face to face with world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko last month, with the British challenger a fiery presence at the press conference in Germany. Tyson’s trainer Peter Fury insisted, “Tyson’s ready, not intimidated by any stretch. He can’t wait to get in there. He’s really looking forward it.
“We got a very good reception. Klitschko’s very professional. That’s what we expected. It was very good. He’s got a good team around him. It’s very good doing business with him.”
Fury is now deep into his training camp. “It’s going well. We’re on form and everything’s going to plan,” his trainer said. “We’re getting eight to 10 sparring partners in, all different kinds really.”
He revealed little of their tactical approach but Fury did say, “I think Klitschko can’t really do anything different than what we’ve seen in 60 odd fights. What he does, he does very well. He’ll look to change a few tactics and probably try to put the pressure on, or he could just wait and bide his time. Who knows? It’s not really of interest to me what Klitschko’s going to do. It’s what we need to be doing.
“I predict a very, very good fight.”
