Anthony Joshua doubts David Haye comeback will happen

Joshua has been linked to a potential blockbuster with Haye should the two-time world title holder finally embark on his promised comeback, although ‘AJ’ has stated during a social media Q and A that the ‘Hayemaker’ will probably stay retired.
Haye, who recently turned 35, has been vocal in stating his intentions to fight again in the top division in the near future, although has no trainer, promoter or TV deal to speak of and hasn’t graced the ring since way back in 2012.
On that occasion, the veteran blasted out Dereck Chisora in five rounds at Upton Park and looked well on his way to another shot at a world title until injuries put Haye’s career in jeopardy following two failed attempts to fight Tyson Fury.
As compatriot Joshua rips through the division in his way to a certain chance at one of the current champions in 2016, Haye, in contrast, is still in limbo and has no solid date to work with for his next outing.
A fight between the two exciting punchers would be at least a couple of years from coming to fruition, even if Haye does eventually lace up his gloves again next year, but by that time the ex-WBA belt holder will be pushing forty and will have his best days firmly behind him.
