Lewis Hamilton column: I partied on Monday, slept on Tuesday

It's four days since I won the world championship in Austin on Sunday but I'm still not sure whether it has properly sunk in yet.
Life kind of just moves on.
I stayed in Austin on Sunday night. The team had a celebration that I wanted to go to. It was important to me to spend some time with everyone, so I had a few tequilas with the guys and then I left because I had to be up early to catch a flight to Los Angeles.
On the way from the airport into town, I was sitting there thinking: "I can't believe it's happened." And every morning since it has been kind of the same.
But then you just kind of get on with stuff. It's always there in the background, which is kind of nice, but you're not thinking about it all the time. I just feel generally happy and at peace and relaxed.
I had some media to do when I first got to LA on Monday morning but after that I had a couple of days just to myself.
I know people must think you'd do something exceptional when you win the championship but it was really just a chilled time.
I gave myself a couple of days off training and I was really able to relax.
I couldn't go too crazy because we have another race this weekend in Mexico. But about 20 of us went out to dinner on Monday night and partied hard. That was a great night and a great celebration.
I slept a lot on Tuesday, then went to the movies that evening, went to dinner and just hung out with some friends.
Right now, I feel like it will be the end of the year before I do anything major because we still have three races still to go this season and they all matter to me.

'I only realised I could win 10 laps from the end'

I said before the weekend in Austin started that I was not feeling any pressure or tension about the championship being so close, and that stayed the same way all weekend, although I really don't know how.
Of course, everyone was asking questions about it, but I just went about it like any other weekend and I literally only realised I could win it 10 laps from the end of the race.
The last safety car was about to come in and I was in second place behind my team-mate, Nico Rosberg.
I wasn't nervous, but I was thinking, 'I'm in second. I know I'm going to be quicker than Nico because I have been quicker than him already.'
I looked ahead at Nico's car and thought, 'That's the world championship right there.'
I believed I was going to get it anyway. I was not expecting him to make a mistake like he did and make it easy for me, but it is not so easy when you have someone like me in your mirrors. There is a lot of pressure.
I'm aware that there has been a bit of discussion in the media about what happened between us after the race with the caps in the pre-podium room.
I haven't seen Nico since the party on Sunday but we will be doing our briefings together today as normal.
I guess we'll do what we always do in the team, which is talk transparently about anything that needs discussing.
We don't want any tension inside the team but I'm a pretty chilled guy and I'm pretty chilled about it all.

Carl Frampton close to agreeing Scott Quigg fight in February

IBF super-bantamweight champion Carl Frampton has not yet agreed a deal to fight Scott Quigg, despite mounting speculation about a February bout.
Newspaper reports claim the duo will box in Manchester on 27 February 2016.
Negotiations are ongoing but Frampton's manager Barry McGuigan confirmed his team have not yet finalised details with the WBA title holder.
"At this stage nothing has been signed but we are all working very hard to get this across the line," he told BBC NI.
Frampton secured a points win over Alejandro Gonzalez in his last title defence in July, while Bury boxer Quigg defeated Kiko Martinez in the same month.
There was speculation that Frampton would be in pre-Christmas action but confirmation of a spring meeting with Quigg appears most likely, once finances and a venue have been agreed.
The IBF has confirmed that no paperwork has yet been received for the bout.
"It's the fight which whets my appetite the most," Frampton said in September.
"I would be happy to fight him anywhere but is it fair for the champion to travel to Manchester to fight the challenger? I don't think it is.
"I'm happy to go somewhere neutral, maybe London or Birmingham.
"I don't think we are going to push for Belfast because I don't think he would come here."

I’ll bring Floyd Mayweather out of retirement, vows Don King

Don King has vow to bring Floyd Mayweather out of retirement speaking with Declan Warrington in an interview he said " I got this great guy Amir Imam he is not a heavyweight but the same weight with Floyd and I am trying to get him in their with Floyd although Floyd said He is retired I will bring him out of retirement and make him fight the kid because the kid is tremendous"

Enzo Maccarinelli will fight Roy Jones Jr in Moscow

Welsh boxer Enzo Maccarinelli will face former four-weight world champion Roy Jones Jr in Moscow on 12 December.
There were reports ex-WBO cruiserweight champion Maccarinelli, 35, and Jones, 46, would fight for the WBA 'super' world cruiserweight title.
But the WBA said this was a "false rumour",  in a quote attributed to president Gilberto Mendoza.
Mendoza also told BBC Sport: "There is no approval for the mentioned fight from the WBA."
He added: "It has not been requested to the championship committee."
Neither Maccarinelli nor Jones Jr are rated in the governing body's top 15, with Russian Denis Lebedev the WBA champion since 2012.
Jones's last defeat was by Lebedev in 2011, while Maccarinelli has competed at light-heavyweight in recent years.
American Jones is one of the greatest fighters of the modern era and in 2003 became the first former middleweight to win a heavyweight world title for 106 years.
However, he has not held a world title since 2004, when he lost his light-heavyweight title to compatriot Antonio Tarver.
Maccarinelli, meanwhile, has not been a world champion since losing his WBO cruiserweight title to David Haye in 2008.
The Welshman last fought for a world title in April 2014, losing to WBA light-heavyweight champion Jurgen Brahmer after suffering a badly cut eye in an early clash of heads.
But he got back to winning ways with a first-round stoppage of Gyorgy Novak in Manchester in March 2015.
"There's always been a lot of doubters. This [beating Jones] would prove a lot of the doubters wrong," said Maccarinelli's trainer Gary Lockett.
Jones, who is originally from Florida, officially became a Russian citizen  after he was presented with his Russian passport in Moscow on Tuesday.
Russian president Vladimir Putin signed a decree to grant citizenship to Jones in September after meeting the boxer in Crimea in August.

Amir Khan: I am the frontrunner to face Manny Pacquiao

Amir Khan says he is the favourite to face Manny Pacquiao in the Filipino boxing legend's final fight.
Khan had earlier suggested the match was unlikely but now believes there is a "big chance" of taking on the seven-weight world champion.
Alongside Khan, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum has also named Terence Crawford and Tim Bradley as possible contenders for his star's last bout.
"I am the front-runner," Khan told BBC Sport.
"Manny Pacquiao makes a good story because we've been training partners and I've been with his coach Freddie Roach.
"There's a big chance of the fight happening, it's all about making sure my team is on point with the deal and they need to make sure they get the fight that I want."
Khan hoped to be Floyd Mayweather Jr's final opponent before the multiple world champion opted to fight Andre Berto instead but Khan believes Pacquiao, 36, is looking for a higher profile end to his career.
"It would be Manny Pacquiao's last fight and end his career in a big way, not like Floyd Mayweather where, no disrespect to Berto, but I think Floyd finished his career on a low note," he added.

Brook bout

As an alternative to Pacquiao, Khan is not ruling out an all-British clash with Kell Brook despite also identifying rematches with Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson and a bout with Shawn Porter.
Brook, 29, defeated Porter over 12 rounds last year but Khan insists his fellow Brit still needs to prove himself against the best.
"My body's taken all the wear and tear where I'm fighting the best fighters in the world and he's not even fighting half of them," said Khan.
"I want him to prove himself so it's a big fight, we go into the ring 50-50 and it's a massive fight not only for Great Britain but around the world."

Middle East match

Khan is currently training in Doha, the site of the 2015 World Amateur Boxing Championships, and says the Middle East could soon host a headline professional bout.
"The Middle East has never had a big, big fight," he said.
"They've had a few decent names but no one in their prime, putting on a world title fight, so I think it's going to happen soon."

Fifa: Presidential election candidates confirmed

Seven candidates will stand in Fifa's presidential election on 26 February.
The candidates are: Prince Ali bin al-Hussein, Musa Bility, Jerome Champagne, Gianni Infantino, Michel Platini, Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa and Tokyo Sexwale.
Trinidadian ex-footballer David Nakhid was not included on the list, despite saying he had submitted his candidacy.
The election is to find a successor to the suspended Sepp Blatter, who is under criminal investigation.
The Swiss 79-year-old announced he would be stepping down in June, with world football's governing body at the centre of a corruption scandal

Platini, the head of European football's governing body, is also suspended, but Fifa's electoral committee says it may allow him to stand if his ban ends before the election date.
Fifa and Swiss prosecutors are investigating reports that a £1.35m payment was made in 2011 for work Platini did as Blatter's adviser.
Both men deny any wrongdoing and are appealing against their 90-day bans.
All candidates had to obtain the written backing of five football associations under Fifa electoral rules.
