INTERVIEW OF YOUNG SUCCESSFUL PERSONALITY

The popular maxim saying the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, could not be more correct than in the lifeand career of  a young millionaire and pastor,Ikechukwu Okoronkwo Bishop.In this exclusive interview with Giwa Damilola.The amiable guru,sheds more light on his background and success route.

     Tell us more about yourself?

   I  am Ikechukwu Okoronkwo Bishop.  A graduate of pure and industrial chemistry from university of Portharcourt, an astute businessman and pastor of Reigners family international church,  also a consultant per excellent.

  What  lead you to the quest of going into ministry at a very young age?

Actually, what led me to ministry is passion, calling and dedication. God called me at a very young age.Even while I was growing up I mixed among bad guys , I  was a bit involved in cultism and other social vices .That was when I heard the call ,I had the passion, so it was the call that brought me into ministry.

 

   How you combine being a  pastor and your 

academics together?

      It was not by mistake that I found time to  read my books and studied hard.At times it could be so difficult. I can remember I had to sacrifice my reading to preach the gospel.All the same ,when a man sets himself for God ,God gives his best.

    How did you become a millionaire at twenty-four years?

I was already a millionaire when I was twenty years. I made my first million when I was twenty-one then I invested in forex and I lost that money because I did  a wrong investment But  I will give all credit to Jesus because when I first heard about the entrepreneurship program the Nigeria government was giving and planning to sponsor people with ten million .I  knew specifically God told me to apply and I did the business plan myself, as everything I did came from  revelation.

     What advise will you give to young people?

    It  is all about choice and decision.Every young person should be able to make  the right choice 

and decision, young people should find and also speak to God and find a mentor .Part of my success is that I have found mentors who  have mentored me like pastor Jude Obaji,

Bishop David Oyedapo,pastor Lanre Oluseye and some 

others who have gingered me to greatness. I am delighted and proud when young people 

come to me and say "I want you to be my mentor".

 If you are not inspired you will expire.Look for people

 that will inspire you to greatness. Nothing is free in Freetown.so young people should work hard ,pray to God ,find a mentor.When you locate a good mentor 

you are on your way to success.

    What do  you want to be in the next twenty years?

(Laughs) Why twenty years? why not say next five years?....Ok twenty years,I will not just be  a billionaire pastor,I also want to be an international travelling 
evangelist,I,see myself,preaching around 
the world also,leading an army of young people that are dynamic and actively involved in doing great thing for God.I want to be a philanthropist by positively affect ing the lives of 
the poor.In  the next twenty years I suppose, I should have ruled Nigeria or a country  I also would have made impact in the world.

There was a blind girl. She had a loving boyfriend, who was always there for her. The girl hated herself and everyone around, just because she was blind. Her boyfriend asked her to marry him. But she said: „If I could only see the world, I would marry you“.

One day someone had donated a pair of eyes to this girl and after an operation she could see everything. But when her loving boyfriend came to her and asked if she would marry him now, she just looked at him with disdain, as she could see now that he was blind too. Thus she refused to marry him. He walked away full of sadness and later wrote a short letter of few words to her: „Just take care of my eyes darling.
Moral Lesson" Don't stop showing love " I was really touched when I read this story. Let keep hope alive by giving back love someone gave us .

BE A CHANGE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE

God created everybody with vision and hope to rule the world .Vision is the visual image of your future.No matter the position, size,location and age ,everybody was created with something for the world to hear or see.

Just as I watched my neighbors son who just clocked two years  old.He  was learning how to walk, I went down memory lane on how I once did many years ago.As I continue to gaze, I saw him took his first shaking step and fell.
He attempted to walk again but still fell.He knew nothing about falling and rising.He stood up again tried more steps until he finally got his footing right.
I similed, I  could see his determination to walk at his age.' I can do it', probably that would be his thought,I never gave up when I was like him now I can run and walk at this point it dawned on me such is life.A lot of people have given up when  they make their first shaking step and never tried again. Mistakes are not as important as what you do about them but your attitude toward your mistakes.
In life endeavor, we must not necessarily succeed at every first attempt. Many give up simply saying to themselves "Oh well this is just how life is" or worse still "I am hopeless, I can't do this ,I am  not good enough". It only take one  person to change your life .Thomas Edison said "I have not failed but found 999 way that won't work,so I am not discouraged because every failed attempt is another step forward".
Believing in yourself is an endless destination, when you believe you have failed.it the end of your journey.Be like the postage stamp,stick to one thing until you achieve your result. Many life failures are those who did not realize how closed they were to success when they gave up .Be strong on the road to success,it only gives passes to those whose mind are made up.Ask yourself what you can do to make a change? Just one more step to make a difference.

The reality of suicide is far different from the fantasy. Most suicidal thinkers romanticize their death by suicide, failing to realize that any suicide gesture or attempt can result in permanent brain, kidney, or liver damage, loss of limbs, blindness, or even death.
