GOd is God

WHO IS GOD?

God is the creator of mankind and He loves you.

You were created by Him and He knows everything about you.

YOU WERE MADE TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

We were created to have a relationship with God. But that relationship was broken when we disobeyed God.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

GOD IS PERFECT, WE ARE NOT.

Since perfection is unobtainable for us that made God unobtainable. Sin separates us from God.

Since God is the source of life separation from Him means death.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

JESUS CAME TO SAVE US.

God fixed this and He sent His Son in order to pay the penalty for our sins.

Now through faith in Jesus Christ our relationship with God can be restored. Our sins can be forgiven and we can have eternal life.

I BELIEVE, BUT NOW WHAT?

The forgiveness of sins is not by works, it is a free gift based on what Jesus did for us.

We receive His forgiveness by placing our faith and trust in Him.

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

We communicate with God through prayer. If you believe this in your heart pray this prayer:

“Father I am a sinner. Jesus you are Lord and my Savior.
Please forgive of my sins.
I ask you into my heart that you would make me a new person.
I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.”

TIp on how to get inspired

Write a love list
Sit down with pen and paper and make a list of everything that you love. Include all the things, people and concepts you are attracted to, passionate about and interested in. Don’t limit yourself.

Take opposite action
Very often, what we most feel like doing is not what would help us the most. So if you’re having low energy – you often feel like hanging out at home, while getting out and doing something actually would be more helpful. The same thing goes for feeling uninspired – we often don’t feel like doing anything. So whatever it is you want to be doing right now – try experimenting with doing the opposite. Sometimes doing something you’ve never done before will excite and ignite you like nothing else.

Loosen up
Being uninspired and feeling detached often has a physical component, as we very often end up stationary or doing physically slow things. A good way to guide yourself to a better mental state is to do something physical, like dance, running, or hiking – or yoga. Anything that will move and stretch your body will help you thinking become more flexible too.

Do something fun and unusual
I know you’re not feeling it right now, but there’s nothing like doing something spontaneous when you’re uninspired. Try something you have never tried before, like a trapeze class, a photo safari or go to a lecture on a topic you know little about yet.

Pump up your creativity
Even though you might not feel particularly creative, doing something that requires you to stop thinking and start doing is usually a great way of getting inspired. If you need ideas – try fingerprinting, writing or crafting something with your hands. Pinterest is great for DIY ideas!

Talk about your dreams

Tell a friend about something you would like to do one day. Try to describe it in as much detail as possible. If you don’t have a friend you can talk to about this, try writing it all out. See if you can reconnect with a dream by thinking differently, or connect with a new dream entirely.

Smile and laugh more
Smiling and lauging – even faking it – will make you feel happier. I’m not encouraging false laughs here, but if you are feeling low and uninspired, try watching a comedy or just smiling to strangers. This totally works! You might feel goofy, but if that can make you laugh of yourself – even better!

Focus on what you are feeling, not what you aren’t
As the Buddha said; “Suffering is arguing with reality”. When you are feeling flat, uninspired and tired – but feel like you should be feeling passionate and excited about something – you feel even worse than if you just focus on what you actually are feeling.

Do what interests you the most
You might feel like nothing excites you. Like you don’t have anything. But I’m sure there is something in this wide world of possibilities that is more interesting than other things. You don’t have to be wildly in love – just moderately curious. Start there.

Read Feeling Good when Life is Hard
A little shameless self-promotion is allowed from time to time, right? No, seriously – I have written a whole e-book about how to feel good in times of stress, overwhelm and change. I have a full chapter on identifying and following dreams in there. It’s good!

Let nature hold you
Sometimes all we need to get back on track is to allow ourselves to be off track for a bit. Take a walk in nature, walk barefoot on the beach, lie down in the grass and feel the earth support you. Relax, then move on.

Pay attention to your black and white thinking
When we are not in our element, it is very easy to slip into absolute thinking. As in “I am never inspired. Or I am not interested in anything. Or I always feel stuck”. Watch out for words like never, always, nothing, everything, everybody, nobody, everywhere, anywhere etc. Try to see if there is a good middle way in there. A good way of checking your thinking is to ask yourself “is this true?” whenever you catch yourself thinking in absolute terms.

Don’t be avoidant, isolate yourself or over-think
One of the best pieces of advice someone gave me when I was searching for my purpose and passion was to don’t avoid doing things that need to be done (like paperwork and housework), don’t isolate yourself by staying in too much, and don’t think too much about what to do, why it’s not working, where to go and so on. In other words; do the work, get out there and spend more time acting than thinking!

Be limitless
So much of our stuck-ness originate from these short words; can’t, won’t and shouldn’t. So when you are searching for your spark – don’t limit yourself. Do it anyways!

Hire a life coach
Life coaches – like me – are experts at helping people find more passion, excitement and energy in their lives. Why fumble around in the dark when you can have someone guide your way?

Accept
It is what it is. And right now you are not in the zone. And that is alright! Just accepting that can make all the difference in the world. It’s like deciding to stop looking for a boyfriend and then suddenly there he is!

Check yourself for depression
I feel that it is important to address this topic too. Loss of interest, flatness in emotions and loss of energy can be symptoms of depression. It’s better to be safe than sorry – the sooner you get treatment the easier it will be. So if you think this might be you, don’t hesitate to get help.

Picture Your Way To Success

Each of us stores pictures in our minds about the type of relationships we deserve, the degree of success we'll attain at work, the extent of our leadership ability, the amount of money we'll earn and accumulate, and so on.

Where do these pictures come from?  Well, we begin to develop our "mental movies" early in life.  If we were criticized or felt unworthy as a youngster, we record the events (and the feelings associated with those events) as images in our minds.  Because we frequently dwell on these pictures (both consciously and subconsciously), we tend to create life situations that correspond to the original image.  For example, you may still hold a vibrant image of being criticized by a teacher in elementary school.  You felt humiliated in front of the whole class.  Later on, when you were tempted to offer your opinion in school or in a group of people, you held back and kept quiet all the while remembering (even if only on a subconscious level) how painful it was when you were criticized.  The picture remains in your mind, and exerts tremendous influence over your present actions.

Unfortunately, many of us have not updated or revised our childhood movies, so we are continually producing results that fall short of our full potential.  Here are some techniques for using the power of visualization to improve virtually every aspect of your personal and professional life:

Take responsibility for the pictures you are playing in your mind. No matter what the source of those images, it's you that keeps playing them. Let's try a short experiment.  Think about an ice cream cone filled with your favorite flavor of ice cream.  Does that create a picture or image for you?  I'll bet it does.  Okay, now think about an elephant.  Can you see it?  Change the color of the elephant to pink.  In a fraction of a second, you probably formed an image of the pink elephant.  Can you bring back the picture of the ice cream cone?  Of course, you can.  You have full control over the pictures that occupy your mind.  However, when you do not consciously decide which pictures to play, your mind will look into the "archives" and keep re-playing old movies on file in your mental library.
Accept what happened in the old movie - but change its meaning. It doesn't serve you to deny what happened in a past experience, no matter how painful or disappointing.  You can't, for instance, change the fact that you were criticized by the teacher.  You can, however, alter your interpretation of the event.  That is, at the time you were originally criticized, the meaning you might have assigned to the experience was:  "I'm not good enough," or "My opinions are worthless."  While this was the interpretation of a child, you may have inadvertently carried it into your adult life.  Today, though, you can consciously choose to view the situation differently -- for example, the teacher may have disagreed with you, but it wasn't a statement about your intelligence or your overall worth as a person!
Create new pictures to move you toward what you want.  We can create new mental movies whenever we choose to do so.  And, when we develop (and concentrate on) new images that evoke powerful feelings and sensations, we will act in ways that support those new pictures!  So, the first step is to create an image of your desired outcome.  You are limited only by your imagination.  Recognize, however, that the pictures in your mind are not fulfilled overnight!  But, by being patient and by persistently focusing on these mental images, you'll automatically start acting in ways that support your vision.
Relax and involve your senses. What's the best method to use when concentrating on your new images?  It's been proven that your mind is most receptive to visualization when you are calm and not thinking about a lot of things simultaneously.  So, sit down in a comfortable chair at home, close your eyes and do some deep breathing exercises to clear your mind and relax your body.  Now, strive to develop images that involve as many senses as you can.  The more sights, sounds, smells, tastes and touches you put in your pictures, the more powerful the "pull" for you to make your vision a reality.
Here's an example.  Let's say you always dreamed of owning a beach-front house in the Caribbean.  Picture the white and peach colored house.  See the green palm trees slowly swaying in the gentle breeze.  Smell the salt air.  Feel the warm sand between you toes.  Can't you just taste it?  And all this can be yours, if you hold onto this image and do what it takes to achieve it!

Also, remember that those images associated with strong emotions have even more power, so be sure to add positive feelings to your vision.  For instance, when visualizing your ideal job, combine the vivid mental picture and the physical senses with the terrific emotions of pride and satisfaction you'll have working in that new position.

Finally, don't be concerned with the quality of your images at the outset. Some people can create lively color pictures. . . while others have trouble getting anything more than a fuzzy image, or no image at all.  It's also possible that you may only be able to get a particular feeling at the beginning as opposed to a clear image.

In any case, don't worry about it.  Do the best you can and don't compare yourself to anyone else.  Your images will become sharper over time.  The key is to spend several minutes each day running these new movies in your mind.

Well, there you have it--some suggestions for creating and benefiting from your own mental pictures.  Remember, if you don't take control and develop your own movies, you'll continue to replay the old ones.  If the old movies are serving you, that's great.  But, if they're holding you back in any way, get started today and use the incredible power of your mind to picture your way to greater success!

Unquenchable Spirit

We may not think we can, but we have inner resources that will see us through if we only make use of them.  We are stronger than we think.

The late Booth Tarkington had always believed that he could take anything that life could force upon him except one thing--blindness.  Then when he was along in his 60's, he began losing his sight.

When total darkness closed in, Tarkington said, "I found I could take the loss of my eyesight, just as one can take anything else.  If I lost all five of my sense, I know I could live on inside my mind.  For it is in the mind we see, and live."

Am I advocating that we simply bow down to all adversities?  Not by a long shot!  As long as there is a chance that we can save a situation, let's fight!  But when common sense tells us that we are up against something that cannot be otherwise, then, in the name of our sanity, let's not pine for what is not.

Sarah Bernhardt was an illustrious example of a woman who knew how to cooperate with the inevitable.  After half a century as the reigning queen of the theater on four continents, at 71 she found herself broke in Paris.  Worse than that, while crossing the Atlantic, she had fallen during a storm and injured her leg so severely that phlebitis developed.  The pain became so intense that the doctor finally concluded that the leg must be amputated, but he was almost afraid to tell the stormy, tempestuous Sarah what had to be done for fear the news would set off an explosion of hysteria.  But he was wrong.  Sarah looked at him a moment, and said quietly, "If it has to be, it has to be."

No one has enough emotion and vigor to fight the inevitable and, at the same time, enough left over to create a new life.  Choose one or the other.  You can either bend with the inevitable storms of life--or you can resist them and break!

Why do you think your automobile tires stand up on the road and take so much punishment?  At first, manufacturers tried to make a tire that would resist the shocks of the road.  It was soon cut to ribbons.  Then they made a tire that would absorb the shocks of the road.  That tire could "take it."  You and I will last longer, and enjoy smoother riding, if we learn to

Time to believe

To believe is to know that
every day is a new beginning.
Is to trust that miracles happen,
and dreams really do come true.

To believe is to see angels
dancing among the clouds,
To know the wonder of a stardust sky
and the wisdom of the man in the moon.

To believe is to know the value of a nurturing heart,
The innocence of a child's eyes
and the beauty of an aging hand,
for it is through their teachings we learn to love.

To believe is to find the strength
and courage that lies within us
When it's time to pick up
the pieces and begin again.

To believe is to know
we are not alone,
That life is a gift
and this is our time to cherish it.

To believe is to know
that wonderful surprises are just
waiting to happen,
And all our hopes and dreams are within reach.

If only we believe.

Nicknamed ‘The Greatest’, Muhammad Ali is one of the legends in the sport of professional boxing. At 6 feet 3 inches, he was an imposing figure in the ring, known for his swift footwork, and powerful jab. What distinguish him from his contemporaries are the values that he has been upholding all through his life. An arch believer of religious freedom and racial justice, Ali had converted to Islam and with that even changed his name from the former identity, Cassius Marcellus Clay. One of the most recognized sports figures of the past 100 years, he created ripples in the arena of professional boxing at the tender age of 22, by knocking out the then heavyweight champion Sonny Liston. From then, there was no looking back for this powerful fighter who knocked off each of his opponents to bag the titles. Throughout his career, Ali recorded 56 wins of which 37 came in knockout and 5 losses. The most historic matches were against Liston, Joe Frazier and George Foreman. He became the first and only three-time lineal World Heavyweight Champion. Interestingly, apart from being powerful and dominating, Ali was extremely vocal as well and started the ritual of throwing remarks at his opponent much before the brawl. To know some more interesting facts about his life, scroll further.

Childhood & Early Life

Born to Cassius Marcellus Clay, Sr and Odessa O'Grady, Clay Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr was the eldest of the two boys of the couple. While his father earned a living by painting billboards and signs, his mother was a household domestic.
Interestingly, it was a Louisville police officer who changed the fate of young Clay. The latter was enraged at a thief who robbed his bicycle and told police officer, Joe Martin that he wished to whip the robber. It was then that Martin suggested him to learn boxing first.
Martin served as his early coach, teaching him the technicalities involved in the game. In the last four years of his amateur career, he was trained by boxing cutman Chuck Bodak.
Career

In his first ever fight which happened in 1954 he won by a split decision. Following this, he won the 1956 Golden Gloves tournament for novices in the light heavyweight class.
In 1959, he won the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions, as well as the Amateur Athletic Union's national title for the light-heavyweight division.
His outstanding achievements in his amateur years won him a seat in the US Olympic boxing team in 1960. He won the first three bouts to face Zbigniew Pietrzkowski from Poland. Crushing the latter, he earned his first gold at the event. The Olympic win garnered him a ‘hero’ status.
His heroic wins, majority of which were through knockouts, made him the top contender for Sunny Liston’s title. As such, a fight was scheduled between the two in February 1964 in Miami.
While Liston was the reigning champion of the title, Clay seemed to be the underdog at the event, more so because his last fights against Jones and Cooper displaying lack of skills.
Even before the fight began, the two turned the pre-fight weigh-in into a circus, demeaning and defaming each other, an incident which was the first-of-its-kind in the history of boxing. Enraged by the disparaging comments, Liston looked over for a quick knockout but lost the match in the sixth round
Defeating Liston, he became the then youngest boxer to assume the title from a reigning heavyweight champion. Meanwhile, in 1964, he changed his name from Cassius Marcellus Clay to Muhammad Ali, adopting the religion of Islam.
Following the conversion, a rematch was arranged between Ali and Liston. However, the second match bore the same results as the first one, except for the fact that it lasted for just about two minutes.
His second title defence was against Floyd Patterson, who twice lost to Liston in first round knockouts. The match continued for 12 rounds post which he was declared the winner.
In the following years, he won a match each against George Chuvalo, Henry Cooper, Brian London and Karl Mildenberger. His match against Cleveland Williams in the Houston Astrodome received much limelight, which he won convincingly in the third round TKO.
In 1967, he stood against Terrell, who was the unbeaten heavyweight champion since five years. The fight prolonged for fifteen rounds, in which both the players displayed powerful performance. Ali won the fight in a unanimous decision.
Ali was stripped of his title as he refused to render his services to the army in the Vietnam War. Not only was his boxing license suspended he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison along with a fine.
After his period of exile, he made a comeback with the fight against Jerry Quarry on October 26, 1970.
He was chosen as the top contender for against heavyweight champion Joe Frazier. Nicknamed the Fight of the Century, it created a stir as two undefeated opponents were against each other. The fight took place on March 8, 1971. Though the initial rounds were neck to neck, in the latter Frazier took an advantageous lead and eventually was declared the winner. This was Ali’s first ever loss since his professional debut.
In 1973, Ali lost the second fight of his career to Ken Norton, who broke his jaw. In their second bout Ali, won a controversial decision against Norton, thereby earning the right to fight against Joe Frazier, who had recently lost his title to George Foreman.
Ali-Frazier rematch took place on January 28, 1974, and Ali won the bout.
Frazier’s defeat led to a title fight the against heavyweight champion George Foreman. The bout took place on October 30, 1974 and Ali was considered an underdog.. However, the result of the match turned in the latter’s favour as Foreman failed to make it to the count at the end of the eighth round.
Year 1975 witnessed one of the toughest fights as Ali fought against Frazier in a match that was titled ‘Thrilla in Manila’. Lasting for 14 rounds, the former was elected the winner.
Post the fight against Frazier, Ali’s career graph observed a decline as he was defeated by Leon Spinks and knocked out by Larry Holmes. After losing his heavyweight title to Trevor Berbick, he retired from boxing in 1979.

Explanation of God by a little Child

One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth. He doesn't make grown-ups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way He doesn't have to take up His valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers.

God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times besides bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this.

God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere, which keeps Him pretty busy. So you shouldn't go wasting His time by going over your Mom and Dad's head asking for something they said you couldn't have.

Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there are any in Chula Vista. At least there aren't any who come to our church.

Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work like walking on water and performing miracles and people finally got tired of Him preaching to them and they crucified Him. But He was good and kind, like His Father, and He told His Father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive them and God said "O.K." His Dad (God) appreciated everything that He had done and all His hard work on earth so, He told Him He didn't have to go out on the road anymore. He could stay in heaven. So He did. And now He helps His Dad out by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of and which ones He can take care of Himself without having to bother God. Like a secretary, only more important. You can pray anytime you want and, they are sure to help you because they got it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time.

You should always go to church on Sunday because it makes God happy, and if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God. Don't skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the beach. This is wrong. And besides the sun doesn't come out at the beach until noon anyway.

If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very lonely, because your parents can't go everywhere with you, like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He's around you when you're scared in the dark or when you can't swim and you get thrown into real deep water by big kids.

But... you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you. I figure God put me here and He can take me back anytime He pleases.

And... that's why I believe in God.

Keep these thoughts with you throughout the coming years!

1. If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
2. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
3. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.
4. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
5. He could live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.
6. What about the Christmas gift He sent you in Bethlehem, not to mention that Friday at Calvary.

Face it, He's crazy about you.

Just Push On it will be well

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light and the Savior appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. This the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might.

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Seeing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, the Adversary decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man's weary mind: "You have been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn't budged. Why kill yourself over this? You are never going to move it." Thus giving the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure, these thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.

"Why kill myself over this?" he thought. "I'll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort and that will be good enough." And that is what he planned to do until one day he decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord. "Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"

The Lord responded compassionately, "My child, when I asked you to serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to me, with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinew and brown, your hands are callused from constant pressure, and your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. Yet you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. This you have done. I, my friend, will now move the rock."

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him. By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God who moves the mountains.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. -- Romans 1:16

Don't Worry be Happy

Years ago, I was enthralled as I listened to a pastor who for several years had faithfully served the church. His executive responsibilities had taken him all over this country. As he concluded his message, he told of one of the most frightening, yet thought-provoking, experiences of his life.

He had been on a long flight from one place to another. The first warning of the approaching problems came when the sign on the airplane flashed on: Fasten your seat belts. Then, after a while, a calm voice said, "We shall not be serving the beverages at this time as we are expecting a little turbulence. Please be sure your seat belt is fastened."

As he looked around the aircraft, it became obvious that many of the passengers were becoming apprehensive. Later, the voice of the announcer said, "We are so sorry that we are unable to serve the meal at this time. The turbulence is still ahead of us."

Then the storm broke. The ominous cracks of thunder could be heard even above the roar of the engines. Lightening lit up the darkening skies, and within moments that great plane was like a cork tossed around on a celestial ocean. One moment the airplane was lifted on terrific currents of air; the next, it dropped as if it were about to crash.

The pastor confessed that he shared the discomfort and fear of those around him. He said, "As I looked around the plane, I could see that nearly all the passengers were upset and alarmed. Some were praying. The future seemed ominous and many were wondering if they would make it through the storm.

Then, I suddenly saw a little girl. Apparently the storm meant nothing to her. She had tucked her feet beneath her as she sat on her seat; she was reading a book and every thing within her small world was calm and orderly. Sometimes she closed her eyes, then she would read again; then she would straighten her legs, but worry and fear were not in her world. When the plane was being buffeted by the terrible storm when it lurched this way and that, as it rose and fell with frightening severity, when all the adults were scared half to death, that marvelous child was completely composed and unafraid." The minister could hardly believe his eyes.

It was not surprising therefore, that when the plane finally reached its destination and all the passengers were hurrying to disembark, our pastor lingered to speak to the girl whom he had watched for such a long time. Having commented about the storm and behavior of the plane, he asked why she had not been afraid.

The child replied, "'Cause my Daddy's the pilot, and he's taking me home."

There are many kinds of storms that buffet us:
• Physical,
• Mental,
• Financial,
• Domestic, and...
Many other storms can easily and quickly darken our skies and throw our plane into apparently uncontrollable movement. We have all known such times, and let us be honest and confess, it is much easier to be at rest when our feet are on the ground than when we are being tossed about a darkened sky.

Let us remember... Our Father is the Pilot. He is in control and taking us home... so Don't Worry.

Word of inspiration

The Elephant  Rope
As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.

He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”

The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?

Failure is part of learning; we should never give up the struggle in life.

I am sorry

Once there was a man who had 3 daughters and was a single parent to his children. One morning he asked his oldest daughter, Sonia, to do the breakfast dishes before going to school. Not realizing that she was already running late and facing too many tardy notices, he was stunned by her reaction. She burst into profuse tears. Again, misinterpreting the motive behind the outburst, assuming that she was merely trying to get out of an unpleasant chore, he demanded that she dry her tears and get back to work immediately. She reluctantly obeyed him, but her anger could be clearly heard in the careless clanking of the dishes in the sink, she turned back to her father and stared sullenly out the window. Usually the man use to take advantage of the uninterrupted time to spend with his children while driving them to school by teaching poetry or religious verses. However that morning there was no songs- only deathly, stubborn silence. The man dropped his daughter, mumbled a good bye and moved to office. He tried to work but couldn’t concentrate all he could see was his daughter’s scared, tear-stained face as she hesitantly climbed out of the car to face her teachers and classmates. The man began to realize that his timing had gone wrong and with the passage of the day he began to feel remorseful. So he decided to say SORRY to his daughter and couldn’t wait till suppertime to apologize. So he took permission from the school to take his daughter for lunch and was astonished to see the surprise on her face. He led her by her arm through the corridor and as the doors banged behind them, he turned towards his daughter and said, “Sonia I am sorry. I am so very sorry! It’s not that I shouldn’t have asked you to help out at home, but I had no right on it this morning without any previous warning. I upset you at a time when you most needed my love and support- just before you went to school. And I let you go without saying ‘I love you’. I was wrong. Please forgive me.”

Sonia put her arms around her father’s neck and hugged him and said “Oh, Dad, of course I forgive you. I love you too.”

The power of these restorative words, “I am Sorry!” is such that they heal relationships – between us and our friends and loved ones, and between us and God.

How would you like to be remembered

About a hundred years ago, a man looked at the morning newspaper and to his surprise and horror, read his name in the obituary column. The news papers had reported the death of the wrong person by mistake. His first response was shock. Am I here or there? When he regained his composure, his second thought was to find out what people had said about him. The obituary read, "Dynamite King Dies." And also "He was the merchant of death." This man was the inventor of dynamite and when he read the words "merchant of death," he asked himself a question, "Is this how I am going to be remembered?" He got in touch with his feelings and decided that this was not the way he wanted to be remembered. From that day on, he started working toward peace. His name was Alfred Nobel and he is remembered today by the great Nobel Prize.

Just as Alfred Nobel got in touch with his feelings and redefined his values, we should step back and do the same.

What is your legacy?

How would you like to be remembered?

Will you be spoken well of?

Will you be remembered with love and respect?

Will you be missed?

How would you like to be remembered

You can do it don't be afraid!!!

There's nothing to fear, you're as good as the best.
As strong as the mightiest, too.
You can win in every battle or test;
For there's no one just like you.
There's only one you in the world today;
So nobody else, you see,
Can do your work in as fine a way:
You're the only you there'll be"
So face the world, and all life is yours
To conquer and love and live:
And you'll find the happiness that endures
In just the measure you give;
There's nothing too good for you to possess,
Nor heights where you cannot go:
Your power is more than belief or guess
It is something you have to know.

There is nothing to fear, you can and you will.
For you are the invincible you.
Set your foot on the highest hill
There's nothing you cannot do.

Shoot for the Stars

Do not take anything as being forever, because forever is only as long as today.

Know that the people who are the richest are not those who have the most, but those who need the least.

That we are at our strongest when life is at it's worst, and at our weakest when life no longer offers a challenge.

That it is wiser not to expect, but to hope, for in expecting you ask for disappointment, whereas in hoping you invite surprise.
That unhappiness doesn't come from not having something you want, but from the lack of something inside that you need.

That there are things to hold and things to let go. and letting go doesn't mean you lose, but that you acquire that which has been waiting around the corner.

Most of all......
remember to use your dreams as a way of knowing yourself better, and as an inspiration to reach for Your Star!

Powerful Word of wisdom

Some say wisdom is gained by keeping an open mind while living a long time so life’s experience have a chance of soaking in. Others say wisdom is acquired by listening more than talking.
Either way, wisdom is a gift that can enlighten our souls and strengthen our spirit – and the spirit of others when it is shared.
If you need some wisdom right now – some enlightenment gained by others, here are 12 wise old sayings that resonant with truth, hope and inspiration:

1. “When you are in doubt, be still, and, and wait; when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage. So long as mists envelope you, be still; be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists — as it surely will. Then act with courage.” ― Ponca Chief White Eagle
2. “When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary projects, all of your thoughts break their bonds, your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction and you find yourself in a new great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.” ― Patanjali

3. “Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present.” ― Marcus Aurelius
4. “We can’t have full knowledge all at once. We must start by believing; then afterwards we may be led on to master the evidence for ourselves.” ― Thomas Aquinas
5. “When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.” ― Confucius
6. “Friends are as companions on a journey, who ought to aid each other to persevere in the road to a happier life.” ― Pythagoras
7. “That the path to personal happiness and inner peace is through the extinguishing of all desire to have or to affect things beyond ones control and through living for the present without hope for or fear of the future; beyond the power of opinion.” ― Zen

8. “Remember, no human condition is ever permanent. Then you will not be overjoyed in good fortune nor too scornful in misfortune.” ― Plato
9. “Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so let us be thankful.” ― Buddha
10. “Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power. If you realize that you have enough, you are truly rich.” ― Lao Tzu
11. “Angry people want you to see how powerful they are. Loving people want you to see how powerful YOU are.” ― Chief Red Eagle
12. “Those who are unaware they are walking in darkness will never seek the light.” ― Bruce Lee

KEEP HOPE ALIVE

How does a person feel when he lost his eyes in an accident or when one of his legs amputated? Would he feel like to end his life to escape from the crises or try to face all the problems that come on his way?

According to the statistics more than one million people in the world commit suicide per year and over thirty thousand of these are said to be from the United States.

Why these people commit suicide? What demoralize them? The surveys says that people commit suicide for different reasons in which most common are financial problems, relationship problems, bullying and stress of work.

These people are trapped in depression and make up their mind that things will never get better, and none can improve the situation. G. B. Shaw said, “Sometimes, people get attached to their burdens more than the burdens are attached to them.”

Life gets tough

We all just have to admit that life can sometimes get tough!

Our health may sometimes suffer, family demands demoralize, daily traumas build up and work strains speed up, but it doesn’t mean to feel that the life isn’t worth living. In such situation, we need a dose of inspiration that makes us feel good.

Inspiration brings positive signs and heightens our creativity. In times of insecurity, remind yourself of those who overcame bodily limitations and various obstructions.

Finding inspiration

Here are six inspirational stories of people who, in spite of their physical limitations, participated fully in all aspects of the society. These differently-abled people (I don’t like to say them disable) are not only inspirational to other people having physical problems; but equally inspirational to those of us who feel life is worthless and give up trying when the obstacles come on our way.

One of the world’s best-known overachiever Stephen Hawking who suffers from Motor Neuron Disease became Cambridge’s first Gravitational Physics Professor and received the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics Award at age 35. He has written a best-selling book which was later made into a film called A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes.
A legally blind marathon runner, Marla Runyan became three time national champion in the women’s 5000 meters. In 1992 summer Olympics, she won four gold medals and in 2000 she became the first legally blind Paralympian to compete in the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. She co-wrote and released her autobiography, No Finish Line: My Life As I See It in 2001.
Despite amputation of one leg, Sudha Chandran has become the most talented and acclaimed classical dancer of India. She met with an accident when returning from Mumbai to Chennai resulting in the amputation of her right leg. She was given an artificial leg and in spite of this dreadful disability she established herself in the film line and got a status as a world-class dancer.
An Israeli-American, Itzhak Perlman is a renowned violinist, conductor and teacher who contracted Polio at age four. He uses crutches or an electric wheelchair and plays the violin while seated. He is best known for playing and recording the classical music. He has also played jazz along with the soloists Oscar Peterson and klezmer in their album. In 2000, he received the National Medal of Arts from President Clinton.
Helen Keller was an American prolific author, political activist and lecturer who was the first deaf, mute and blind person honored with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her teacher Annie Sullivan motivated her to study and helped her to communicate by spelling words into her hand. Helen was born a normal child but at age of 19 months, she got brain fever, leaving her totally deaf and blind. Keller campaigned for women’s suffrage, civil liberties, and communism, as well as many other noble causes.
Jean-Dominique Bauby who was a French journalist, author and editor of the renowned fashion magazine ‘Elle’ experienced Locked-in Syndrome after suffered from a massive stroke but he never admitted defeat. Locked-in Syndrome is a neurological disorder that leaves the body paralyzed from head to toe even though the mind is left unharmed. He was completely speechless but he could blink his left eye and that all he needed to write a book. Despite of this condition he wrote a book ‘The Diving Bell and the Butterfly’ and died two days after the publication of the book.
The people are a few of incredible personalities who have achieved success despite of their physical limitations. These genuinely gutsy people are a great source of inspiration for everyone who worries due to the problems of life and have proved that nothing is impossible when you have the willpower to do it.

At the end, I would like to say anyone who lose all hope and think this is the end should understand that it is just a bend not the end and have faith on God, he will show you the way.
