Graphic photos: Mother pours kerosene on only son and sets him on fire

14 year old student Prince Odum. Of Amuzukwu Ibeku, was said to have been set on fire by his mother, Chinyere Odum. According to a source, his mother found out that he had stolen an mp3 from a neighbour and got upset.
She reportedly tied up his hands and poured kerosene on him then lit him up. According to neighbors, there has been history of previous abuse where she flogs him with fire wood. He is her only son of three children. She has two daughters and Prince.
The neighbors apprehended the mother and took her to the police, who arrested her. After her arrest, she was taken to the hospital to see her son.
When the boy saw his mother, he started crying. He told his mother that he would never do wrong again and started begging the police to release his mother, that it was his fault.
He was referred to the Federal medical centre Umuahia. But the hospital said that they didn't have a viable burns unit to treat him. So he is being referred to UNTH Enugu
