A woman who co-founded South Korea's largest pornography website has been arrested after living as a fugitive in New Zealand for years, police said.
Soranet — set up in 1999 — held tens of thousands of illegal porn videos including "revenge porn" and spycam porn videos of women secretly filmed at public locations.
Distributing pornography is illegal in South Korea, although many such videos are widely consumed on servers based in foreign countries, or secretly shared on file-sharing sites.

She was arrested on Monday for distributing or aiding the distribution of sex videos featuring minors, police said.

They are also accused of abetting illegal activities by Soranet members who shared videos in which women were secretly filmed in public toilets, classrooms, changing rooms, subways and other public locations.

Some members were also accused of jointly planning gang rapes — some of which targeted minors — and posting videos of the victims on the site.The owners are believed to have earned tens of millions of dollars from advertising promoting websites that arrange prostitution and gambling — both technically illegal but widespread in South Korea.
So-called spycam videos have become increasingly common in the country, where men caught secretly filming women — in schools and workplaces, toilets and changing rooms — make headlines on a daily basis.South Korean President Moon Jae-in said last month that the spycam epidemic had become a "part of daily life" and urged a wider crackdown and tougher punishments for offenders.

SARS officers allegedly fled after man had a panic attack while being assaulted

Sad! Two kids burnt to death in mysterious fire outbreak in Ondo State

24 hours after fire outbreak ravaged 100 lock-up shops in Akure, the Ondo State capital, two siblings were roasted to death by another mysterious fire that gutted their home located at Edo Lodge in the metropolis.

The siblings, two-year-old ltunu and four-year-old Damilare Omolere, were left in the care of their 11-year-old elder sister, while their parents went out. While their father, Bode, travelled out of the state, their mother, Blessing, was equally not at home on the sad day.

The eldest child equally left the toddlers alone in the house only to return later to find the house engulfed in flames. Sources said the fire may have been caused by a candle that was left on the table by their sister before she left the house.

Elizabeth Aina, 52, whose shop was among the 100 lock-up shops gutted by fire last week has died of heart attack four days after the incident. The husband, Jacob Aina who confirmed the death of the mother of his five, adding that she owned two of the shops razed by the fire.

United States sends FBI agents to investigate bomb that killed 2 people at a political rally in Africa

Twenty people appeared in court in the Ethiopian capital on Monday following a grenade attack at a rally for Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in which two people were killed and scores wounded.
State-affiliated media Fana said those in court included Girma Kassa, deputy police commissioner for the capital. He is among nine police officials arrested for security lapses over Saturday’s attack.
The explosion raised fears of a backlash against reforms instituted since Abiy became prime minister in April. The reforms include releasing jailed dissidents, loosening the government’s grip on the economy and taking steps to improve relations with Eritrea.
Abiy had just finished a speech to tens of thousands of supporters in the central square in Addis Ababa when the grenade exploded. Thirty suspects are being held over suspected links to the attack. Security officials are yet to say who is responsible.
On Monday, the head of Ethiopia’s Federal Police Commission Zeinu Jemal said experts from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation were providing assistance in the capital.
“The aim of their support is to help determine the perpetrators,” he told the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation.
U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce Gilbert Kaplan made the offer while talking to Ethiopia’s minister of foreign affairs, Workneh Gebeyehu, on Monday, Fana added.
Abiy has pledged to increase government transparency and reconcile a country torn by protests since 2015. Ethiopia has released thousands of jailed dissidents since the beginning of the year, including members of armed groups.
Abiy has enacted major policy shifts including the partial privatisation of the state-run telecoms monopoly and state-owned Ethiopian Airlines.
He has also announced that Ethiopia will implement a peace deal with its neighbour Eritrea that was signed in 2000 after a two-year war. For years, Addis Ababa refused to implement the deal, saying it wanted more talks.

Meanwhile, another fatal grenade attack rocked Zimbabwe on June 23, the same day a grenade attack killed two and left several others injured in Ethiopia. Coincidentally, the Zimbabwean bomb attack exploded just a short moment after the country's new leader, President Emmerson Mnangagwa finished his speech at his party's rally in Bulawayo – Zimbabwe's second largest city

Mnangagwa claimed it was his "normal enemies" trying to kill him. Chiwenga called the attack an "an act of terrorism", while agriculture minister and former Air Force of Zimbabwe commander Perence Shiri warned that the people behind the blast were "playing with fire".
As official claims were met with scepticism and doubt in some quarters of the Zimbabwean society, the government also had to come out and deny allegations that it had a hand in the bomb attack.
But many in Zimbabwe now fear that the incident could be used to justify a crackdown on opposition and perceived "enemies" of the president. There are also concerns about political freedoms being curbed even more and the electoral process being compromised.
Meanwhile, former Zimbabwe's minister of higher education and a very close associate of former President Mugabe, Professor Jonathan Moyo, who is currently hiding in exile, has strongly urged the United States to also provide FBI agents who can go to Zimbabwe and independently investigate the mysterious bomb which has since killed two presidential guards and left over 41 people injured.

Undergraduate And Her Lover Die Mysteriously after Sex

A final year student of the Imo State University, Blessing Amam, was on Monday found dead alongside her lover, identified as Emeka in her hostel in Umudagu-Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state

Southern City News reported on Tuesday that the deceased student was a final year student in the Department of Theatre Arts, who was expected to graduate in August.
A neighbour said, “The students came back from school and started inhaling very offensive smell and on inquiry, it was discovered that it was from Blessing Amam’s room.
“Her flat mates called her but she did not respond. The door was forcefully opened and behold, Blessing and her lover were found dead. There were blood stains and marks on their bodies. Blood equally gushed out from their mouths and nostrils.”
State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Andrew Enwerem confirmed the incident.
He said: “It is a case of sudden and unnatural death. The commissioner of police has called for a thorough investigation into the matter. On receipt of the information, our men at Mbieri division rushed to the scene of the incident.
“The necessary information that aid investigation process has been collected but we call on the members of the public that has pieces of information that will help us unravel the circumstances that led to the death to please come forward,” he said.
Director of Information, IMSU Students’ Union Government, confirmed that “Amam Blessing, a 400 level student of Department of Theatre Art is dead. She was found dead alongside her boyfriend. Their bodies were discovered because of the offensive smell that perturbed neighbours who traced the source.
“They broke the door to discover Blessing and her boyfriend with stains of blood from their mouths, nose and other parts of their bodies. We also gathered that such incident had happened in the past in a house somewhere in Owerri.”

LASU Student Attempts To End His Life By Jumping Off Lagos Lagoon.

An undergraduate student of Lagos State University, LASU, Kingsley Gabriel, on Monday, jumped into the Lagos Lagoon.

Gabriel was, however, rescued alive by officials of the Lagos State Waterways Authority, LASWA. It was gathered that the student jumped from Falomo Bridge into the lagoon at about 11 am, leaving no reason for his action.

Confirming the incident to newsmen in Lagos on Monday, the General Manager, LASWA, Mr. Damilola Emmanuel, lamented that the act was becoming rampant and worrisome on Lagos waterways.

According to him, “the student was quickly rescued from drowning in the water by LASWA rescue officials who responded swiftly by jumping into the lagoon to prevent him from drowning.”

He hinted that after his rescue, Gabriel was taken to the Falomo Police Station, for onward interrogation. It was not clear why Gabriel decided to end his life as efforts to interview him proved abortive.

A woman who dreamt of being a single mom asked her ex-boyfriend to impregnate her – and got more than she bargained for.

As well as a three-year-old son, a judge has told her the boy’s father must have extensive co-parenting rights, which include custody every alternate weekend and at least four hours of father-son time on birthdays.

Judge Piet Koen said in his Durban High Court ruling that after their legal battle the boy’s parents would have to “walk a long way of healing”.
“I can only implore them and their respective extended families to do so in [their son’s] best interests. Their respective love for [the boy] can make that possible.”

The couple became romantically involved in January 2011 but broke up 18 months later. In 2014, the woman – a marketing co-ordinator from Morningside – asked her ex to impregnate her.

She told him she did not like the idea of using an unknown sperm donor and wanted her child to know the identity of the biological father.

There would be no obligations on the father and he could have a relationship with the child, she said.

The man, from Durban North, was 41 at the time and said in court papers he realised “this may be my only opportunity to become a father”.

Within six weeks the woman was pregnant, and her ex accompanied her to antenatal classes, scans and medical appointments, even assisting with bills and spending R41 000 preparing for the baby’s arrival.

“During October 2014, [he] expressly indicated that he would like to take on responsibilities towards the child,” said Koen. Although this led to arguments between the couple, the woman asked her ex to suggest names for the baby.
She rejected his ideas but listed him as the father on the child’s birth certificate. She took the baby to see his paternal grandmother and allowed her ex to see him “on her terms”.

But “strife and animosity” developed, said Koen, and when the baby was four months old an e-mail war broke out over the mother’s request for a passport for the child.

In court papers, the father claimed th e mother was using “visitation rights as currency” despite his attempts to seek mediation over co-parenting rights.
The father went to court on November 2015 to ask for scheduled contact with the child, and Koen’s judgment last week hands him a comprehensive victory.

The boy will stay with him every Wednesday night, every other weekend and public holiday, half of all school holidays and every Father’s Day.
The judge rejected the woman’s claims that she and her ex had a “known sperm donor agreement” which made clear he would have no financial obligations or legal rights.

“[The child’s] interests are absolutely paramount,” he said. “They will be best served, even with [the child] having to move between two homes… knowing he is loved unconditionally by both [parents].”
He urged the couple to be mature in addressing temporary setbacks, “in [the child’s] best interest”

Deontay Wilder ready to make sacrifices to ensure Anthony Joshua unification fight

Deontay Wilder says he is willing to sacrifice immediate rewards in order to make a potential heavyweight unification fight against Anthony Joshua.

Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn has sent a contract to Wilder's team with terms for a huge unification fight, but plans to stage the bout at Wembley in September appear unlikely with a deal yet to be agreed.

South Africa's most prominent strawberry farmer stabbed and murdered after complying with robbers demands

Jeffrey Zetler, a prominent strawberry farmer in South Africa, was stabbed and killed during an alleged robbery at his Stellenbosch home on Saturday.
Zetler was reportedly transporting his workers home after paying them their salaries when the attack occurred.
Western Cape police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk explained the sequence of events.
"He was driving the vehicle with employees at the back when they reached the farm gate. The victim [then] exited the vehicle in order to open the gate.
"The witness noticed a white Toyota Quantum following them before two unidentified males approached him and one of them brandished a firearm while the other wielded a knife."
Van Wyk further explained that: "The suspects threatened the victims and instructed them to get off the vehicle. They then instructed the deceased to go to the office where they demanded the keys to the safe and that he must unlock the door".
The suspects then proceeded to rob Zetler of his property before stabbing him and fleeing the scene.
Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 4.30pm, where they found a member of a security company performing CPR on Zetler.
"Paramedics found that the man was stabbed with an unknown object in his chest. ER24 continued resuscitating the man, but unfortunately, shortly afterwards the man succumbed to his injuries.
"The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but the police were on the scene for further investigations," ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen said.
Police confirmed that a business robbery and murder case was registered for investigation.
62-year-old Zetler's Mooiberge strawberry farm supplied Woolworths and Pick n Pay.
Zetler began farming with grapes, vegetables, and strawberries, according to a report by Jewish Life.

The neighbors apprehended the mother and took her to the police, who arrested her. After her arrest, she was taken to the hospital to see her son.
When the boy saw his mother, he started crying. He told his mother that he would never do wrong again and started begging the police to release his mother, that it was his fault.
He was referred to the Federal medical centre Umuahia. But the hospital said that they didn't have a viable burns unit to treat him. So he is being referred to UNTH Enugu

Poland fined by FIFA soon after losing 2-1 to Senegal in their #WorldCup opening match

FIFA said  it had fined the Polish Football Association 10,000 Swiss francs (US$10,124) for what it said was an offensive banner displayed by Polish fans during their side’s 2-1 World Cup defeat to Senegal.
“The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the Polish Football Association with a fine of CHF 10,000 and a warning for the display of a political and offensive banner by Polish fans,” FIFA said in a statement.
It did not go into detail about what the offending banner looked like.
The Polish Football Association declined to comment.
FIFA earlier this week also fined the Mexican Football Federation for what it called “discriminatory and insulting chants” by fans during Mexico’s surprise 1-0 win over Germany last week.
It has also opened disciplinary proceedings against the Argentine FA and the Croatian FA for what it said were several crowd disturbance incidents during the two country’s encounter on Thursday.
Disciplinary proceedings have been opened by FIFA against Switzerland players Xherdan Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka too over their goal celebrations during their win on Friday over Serbia at the World Cup.
Similar proceedings were opened against the Serbian FA for crowd disturbances and a display of what FIFA said were political and offensive messages by Serbian fans, while the Serbian coach Mladen Krstajic is facing a preliminary FIFA investigation over statements he made after that match.

Police confirm 86 dead in Plateau attack, 50 houses burnt

The Plateau state police command says it has so far confirmed 86 persons dead in the shooting carried out by suspected herdsmen in Gashish district of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The spokesperson of the state command, Mathias Tyopev, said asides the 86 persons killed, six persons were njured while 50 houses were burnt.
'The figure that we have now is that 86 people lost their lives in the attack, six people injured, 50 houses burnt 15 motorcycles and 12 vehicles were burnt in the attack. ” Tyiopev told Channels TV.
The state government has since declared a dusk to dawn cuyrfew in the area.

Catholic priest suspended for a year for rapping in church

Father Paul Ogola of St Monica Catholic Church in Rapogi, Migori County, south-west of Nairobi, Kenya, has been suspended for rapping in church as a way of preaching the gospel.
The 45-year-old priest was suspended on June 3 for alleged misconduct by the Homa Bay Diocese. Fr Charles Kochiel, the judicial vicar of the inter-diocesan tribunal of Kisumu, confirmed the priest's suspension.
The church officials took issue with Fr Ogalo’s style of preaching and suspended him for a year to "reconsider his manner of preaching."
It was revealed that Father Ogola liked entertaining his congregation with rap music, which he said he uses to urge the youth to abandon the “evil deeds of the world and turn to Christ."

"I use the rap music to bring … youths to the church. Thereafter, I bring them to Christ," Fr Ogalo said during a recent interview.
He also said he used rap music to persuade young people to shun drugs and turn their attention to environmental and social justice issues.
Bishop Philip Anyolo, who heads the Homa Bay Diocese, said the priest has been suspended from public liturgical activities.
"It is true the church has taken a disciplinary measure against him. He is suspended because the use of rap music in preaching is not allowed," said Bishop Anyolo on Sunday.
But the bishop said Fr Ogalo has not been barred from attending church services.
"We have just stopped him from preaching using rap to accord him time to change his ways," said Bishop Anyolo.
The priest's suspension has been met with mixed reaction on social media. Some social media users support the church's decision, but others argue it would drive young worshippers away from the church.

Man caught sleeping with father’s wife

The young man, Bubbingeon Musekiwa Ndaba was reportedly hoodwinked into the unholy relationship with his 67-year-old father, Isaac Ndaba’s wife, Naume Langson.
The matter came to light when the two were caught by their niece Bongani Ncube allegedly engaging in sex on a river bed.
It is reported that before they were caught in the act, the two lovebirds were always taking to the bush to satisfy their sexual urge.
After busting them, Ncube reportedly alerted Isaac and it was then that the matter was brought before Chief Nemangwe for hearing.
It is alleged that after failing to buy Ncube’s silence, and in a bid to “fix “him, Langson lied to her husband that he (Ncube) once forced himself on her.
Bubbingeon said one afternoon, he was sleeping in his bedroom hut and because he was feeling hot and not expecting anyone to return home soon, he didn’t put on his pair of trousers.
While undressed he suddenly slept off, but forgot to lock the door and Langson just came in unexpectedly. After seeing him undressed, Bubbingeon claimed Langson must have been moved to a point that she couldn’t control her sexual drive.
He said before he realised it, she was already on him and efforts to push her off failed, and subsequently, they had sex. Bubbingeon said;

“After that afternoon sex, she knelt down and begged me not to tell anybody saying my father was sex starving her and that he was also not good in bed.
After realising that I didn’t have underwear she also promised to buy me one as a token that I was good in bed,”

The fathers wife, Langson admitted to the act, while also stating that she was sex starved. She said;

“What I did was no mistake and I think the only mistake I made was that I slept with my husband’s son. This is because I was not getting enough satisfaction from his father.It’s unfortunate, but that is the reality. I also don’t know how it happened, but my affair with Bubbingeon was out of frustration and I apologised to my husband and he forgave me.
