Truths and lies about period sex, it's 100% healthy!

It’s time to clear up some of the misconceptions men have about sex during that time of the month.
Having sex during your partner’s menstrual period may not be your cup of tea, but then if you’ve never tried it, how would you know? There are countless religious and cultural taboos that forbid intercourse during that time of the month and you’ll have to make up your own mind about exactly how you feel about those. But there are also some pretty silly misconception and myths about period sex, especially among guys, that need to be cleared up.

1. It’s gross
Look, there’s no doubt that period sex has the potential of being a fair bit more messy than sex during the rest of the month, but with a little planning it’s not gross at all. A towel or an extra sheet spread on your bed will do a discreet mop-up job if necessary. Alternatively, why not do the deed in the shower or the bath tub. There’s nothing like a change of scenery to keep things interesting and any messiness is easily washed away at the turn of a tab.
As another option, you partner may want to try wearing a diaphragm, or a menstrual cap shaped like one, or even a female condom all of which will capture any blood while allowing penetration. If you use a dental dam even oral sex during her period doesn’t have to freak you out – some guys actually develop a particular, erm… taste for it.

2. It’s unhealthy
Contrary to many cultural and religious taboos, from a medical perspective, menstrual blood is no more “dirty” than other bodily fluids. Provided you practice safe sex, period sex is perfectly healthy and will not have any adverse effects on your penis or her reproductive organs.

3. You can’t get AIDS or STDs
The surprisingly widespread belief that it’s impossible to contract HIV/Aids or other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), like syphilis and chlamydia, during period sex is false. Like semen, vaginal fluid and other bodily excretions, menstrual blood will contain STDs, including HIV, if the women happens to be a carrier and if you have unprotected sex with her your risk of contracting the disease from her is high. Safe sex is not negotiable, whether your doing it during her period or not, so always protect yourself by wearing a condom.

4. It won’t be fun
Rather than limiting their enjoyment, some women experience an increased sex drive during their period as a result of the surge of hormones sloshing around their bodies during that time of their cycle. Menstruation also tends to make the vagina more sensitive and perceptive to stimulation. Some women report that they have more intense and quicker orgasms during period sex. Couples frequently say that they enjoy the extra lubrication and the “earthiness” of it all.

5. She can fall pregnant
No time of the month is 100% safe and while it’s quite unlikely, it is definitely possible for your partner to fall pregnant during her period. So unless you’re planning to become a father, make sure to practice safe sex and always remember to condomise.

6. It’ll make her period worse
If you worry about prolonging her period by having sex during her time of the month, don’t. In fact, quite the opposite might be the case. Many women report that intercourse during menstruation actually helps to relieve menstrual cramps and pains. The uterus goes through muscular contractions during an orgasm and semen contains prostaglandins, the hormones that stimulate uterine contractions. In combination this tends to increase the number of contractions, allowing her body to expel menstrual blood more quickly, bringing the period to an early end.
If you’re not sure about all of this, but think you might want to give it a try, why don’t you talk to your partner about it. Together you can explore whether period sex will work for you. One thing’s for sure guys: we shouldn’t be afraid of a little blood – women deal with it every month!

Thief steals cellphones from residents, returns a week later to sell them, this time gets beaten to death

An alleged criminal who thought he was smart enough to fool residents of Khwekhwe in South Africa, found himself at the mercy of angry residents who beat him up before killing him.
The man in his twenties was found selling stolen phones by observant residents of Khwekhwe outside Thohoyandou. The residents were terrorised earlier last week when robbers woke them, bound them and robbed them of their valuables such as cell phones.

On Wednesday, the alleged criminal came back to the same locality where he had allegedly stolen the phones, and this time around he was selling the stolen phones back to their owners. That was when the angry residents saw red, made a citizen’s arrest and took the man to the sports field, where he was beaten up.

During the ordeal, the man revealed the names of people who worked with him and also told the angry residents where they had hidden the stolen goods. In his possession, the angry residents found 15 stolen phones that belonged to the robbed residents. At the identified houses, residents found more goods believed to have been stolen from the residents.

The angry residents said they were tired of crime in the area. "Day in and day out we have to battle the scourge of crime here. We are not safe at all, and what makes us angrier is that criminals are sometimes arrested, but they roam the streets the following day. We have to fight crime ourselves, and when we catch them, we will deal with them ourselves. We have to teach them a lesson that they will not forget. Maybe this will deter others from coming to our area to do crime," one of them said.

Khwekhwe was in the news for some time after notorious criminals were caught and suffered instant justice at the hands of the angry residents. Since the incidents, the community remained peaceful, until recently.

Limpopo police spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed the incident, saying the community had beaten the man to death. "We have so far not made any arrests in connection with the murder of this alleged thief. We are sending a warning out there to the community not to take the law into their own hands as, by so doing, they are committing a crime themselves. They should refrain from doing this as they will be arrested and charged," said Ngoepe.

Former Malawi President attends Prophet TB Joshua's church service as elections draw closer

FORMER Malawian president Joyce Banda attended prayers at TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations in Nigeria on Sunday – and was felled by the power of his touch!

According to Nyasa Times, Banda made the trip to Lagos to worship with the controversial prophet with her husband, children and sister.
She can be seen in Sunday’s footage by Emmanuel TV gingerly holding her head after TB Joshua’s forceful blessing.
It is reported that the former president may be interested in throwing her head wrap in the ring to contest next year’s elections.
Banda told Nyasa Times that she visits TB Joshua’s Lagos temple in the same way Jews visit Israel or Muslims visit Mecca.

Banda is reportedly a firm believer in divine intervention and may be hoping that the prophet’s spiritual touch will make the difference in her presidential ambitions.

The Synagogue Church of All Nations is a popular destination for many of Africa’s leaders. According to Pulse, presidents and former presidents who have made the pilgrimage include George Weah (Liberia); Goodluck Jonathan (Nigeria); John Magufuli (Tanzania); John Atta Mills (Ghana); and former Zimbabwe's Prime Minister the late Morgan Tsvangirai.

South African political notables who have attended prayers at TB Joshua’s temple include Julius Malema, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and Goodwill Zwelithini.

Joyce Banda, who recently returned home after four years of self-imposed exile, said she was ready to run in next year's presidential elections if nominated by her party.

Banda, 68, fled in 2014 when she lost power after being embroiled in a massive graft scandal in which government officials siphoned off millions of dollars of public money.
She confirmed that she will contest at her People's Party (PP) elective convention due in coming months.

"The power to choose a torch bearer rests with the people," she said. "If they chose me, yes, I will stand."
Malawi, one of the world's poorest and aid-dependent countries, will hold presidential, parliamentary and council elections in May 2019.
Banda founded the PP in 2011 after splitting from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), which is led by President Peter Mutharika.

She was Malawi's first female president, serving from April 2012 to May 2014, but analysts say she stands little chance of victory in the next polls.
"Her chances of winning are very slim. Her party is in tatters. The decision to leave the country for so long eroded trust of Malawians in her leadership," said Henry Chingaipe, a political scientist at the University of Malawi.

Her downfall came in part from the so-called "Cashgate" scandal, the biggest financial misconduct in the country's history.

The scandal prompted foreign donors — who provide around 40 percent of Malawi's budget — to pull the plug on aid worth around $150-million.
Banda says she did nothing wrong and that the allegations against her are politically motivated.

After she returned to the country in April, police said an arrest warrant against her was valid, but two months later she has been neither charged nor arrested
